Central location, easy access to ferries and other parts of the island, I have been here for a long time and the City has definitely grown.

The Caring and Generosity of Nanaimo and beyond truly makes my Soul Dance.

I have witnessed true Spirit here through Loaves and Fishes Food Bank, the Nanaimo Women’s Centre, Seniors Connect, and the Nanaimo Women’s Centre and St Vincent Du Paul and the Nanaimo Muslim Community.

With a little inspiration and some TLC we can end Poverty, Violence and Ignorance from within our selves plus the World!

Thank You Nanaimo for Caring

1. The plethora of beautiful parks and outdoor spaces!
2. The central location to all other parts of the Island, mainland and Gulf Islands.
3. The weather.

The beautiful parks & trails scattered across the City; the harbourfront area which is the perfect place to bring visitors, grab a coffee or enjoy a stroll; and the fact that I can easily walk to shops, parks or downtown in 20 minutes or less (& that the weather allows for this most of the year!)

The weather, the ocean, and the people.

1. The natural environment (land and waters) in and around the city is exceedingly beautiful.
2. It is (usually) easy to get around the city by car ... rarely taking longer than 15 minutes to get anywhere.
3. The city has most required amenities, but is also within easy reach of the larger cities of Vancouver and Victoria.
