Youth Resilience Strategy: Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society - Youth Connections
Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society (CVIMS) is a non-profit settlement organization located in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Established in 1979, CVIMS provides support to newcomers and refugees. Services include settlement, employment, family and language programs. In addition to these services, CVIMS is now offering programs specific to supporting youth in the City. They include: Youth Peer Mentorship Training, Youth Peer Support Groups and Interactive Workshops empowering youth to build a sense of belonging and create positive networks and coping strategies.
