Preparations for construction start are underway with crews making room in the Yard for construction of the future Community Works Yard Administration & Crew and Fleet buildings. Some stored materials from the Public Works Yard are being moved to a corner of Beban Park.

The location is just northeast of the Leash Off Dog Park. Grading, fencing and lighting in this area has begun and there should be little to no impact to park users. City vehicles and equipment will access this new storage area on a daily basis once all materials are in place. This part of the project will be complete by August 31, 2026.
