Project Scope

Barney Moriez Park currently contains aging and deteriorated playground equipment that no longer meets modern standards for safety, accessibility, or user experience. The purpose of this project is to plan, design, and implement comprehensive playground improvements that restore the park as a safe, inclusive, and engaging recreational asset for the neighbourhood.

Project Budget

Approximately $280,000 is allocated to this project. Some of these funds are to be allocated to playground land improvements such as removing existing pea gravel, drainage, fall protection, engineered wood fiber, playground border, addressing the bicycle track, etc. The remaining funds are intended to be used for existing play equipment removal, playground replacement and construction!
